The Cottage in early summer

Sunday afternoon and the sun for once winning out over the wind, allowing at least the idea of summer to drift across our consciousness… A bike ride, a picnic and a camera seemed a good combination and an opportunity to check on whether Christine and Lizzie were topping up their tans or really working in the garden as claimed.

Last week’s Dick’s Day seemed to have inspired a number of positive comments about how the garden is looking this year, and I thought it was time to check it out for myself. The pictures below tell the story. Take a look and see what you think. Better still, come and pay a visit. Cycling not compulsory!
